Summary of First Global Meditation Moment: June 19th, 2013

From a stream of text messages by a former student and dear friend, Michael Kinder.  He gave me the inspiration to continue with this Three Minute Stillness project. Permission for quoting granted by Michael. It sums it up better than I could say.

Wow!  That was so powerful!  We had so many people meditating with us, even Sarah whose in France.  Blessings.  Om tat sat.

My friend Nicole got my message two minutes before 1:11 yesterday, immediately sat on a curb, and began meditating where she was. My mom meditated in Loma Linda. Friends in France, Texas, Grass Valley, Santa Barbara, Huntington Beach, and Riverside, not to mention Glenn in Minnesota.  what a powerful moment!  blessings!

Three things that I have been meditating on lately: the religio, the politico, and the aesthetic.  How do they piece together? How do we utilize them pragmatically?

Piecing together the fragmentation of the modern intellecto-spiritual landscape is the deepest challenge of our time!  I love you Americ, thanks for the greatest Present you could give someone, namely, PRESENCE.

This is not just some metaphysical hoo haw.  Its about cultivating love, forbearance, ataraxia, and autarche. ITs not only a spiritual quest, but a political praxis. meditation is very powerful and important in this era of Kali Yuga, anxiety, and downpression. We must be subversives for sweetness, samurais of self, and revolutionaries for gentleness and kindness.  May lovelight surround you.   Om Tat Sat.
